Attention to Detail 7 of 10

When you double-check your calculation for a math problem or cite sources carefully in a research paper you're paying close attention to detail. That skill comes in handy in any workplace, whether you maintain a database, keep a log of the hours you spend with clients or write e-mails. John Wooden UCLA's former great basketball consecutive national championships, was asked what he attributed his success to. Among a # of things, he mentioned that paying attention to details was one of the most important qualities for successful coaching and for high achievement in any worthwhile pursuit. He even paid attention to how his players would lace up and tie their show strings. If they didn’t tie them correctly, he would teach them how.
Details may be small things, but from things come great things, therefore, pay attention to details and yo will experience substantial progress in your overall educational attainment.

Student Success Statement

“Persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement.”
~ Matt Biondi

For example if on your report card you receive all F’s because you don’t even try. You can actually end up bringing them up really high. Like next semester you could try to aim for all A’s in your report cards.

Marion Jones Olympic Cheater

Marion Jones Olympic Cheater

Marion Jones is widely known for her great achievements for being ‘queen of track’ she was one of the best, with her gold medals. She was on top, on top of the world and wanted to go higher. Instead, she was caught, for her wrong doings! She cheated and lied to agencies, she lied her way into success—that is choosing the wrong. That is what ctw can lead to, Marion Jones, looks can be deceiving. Now choosing the right comes with its consequences, and so Miss Jones ended up serving a 6 month sentence for use of her steroids, and she was also striped of her medals. What a great example Marion brings to all, because no matter if it is big or small, wrong is wrong. You can be on top of the world, but you will eventually get caught and your wrongs will catch up to you. No matter what the truth always gets revealed sooner or later. So you should always choose the right even if you win or lose. Being caught as a cheater is really disappointing and humiliating.

7 habits of highly successful teens Habits 2

Habits 2: Being With the End in mind
If teens aren’t clear about where they want to end up in life, about their values, goals, and what they stand for, they will wander, waster time, and be tossed to and fro by the opinions of others. Help your teen create a personal mission statement which will act as a road map and direct and guide his decision making process.
“Keep your eyes on the prize.” Determine your desired prize and don’t quit until you have realized the achievement of your prize. Then set another prize, another god or desire that you would really like to achieve. Begin with the achievement of your prize in mind. Visualize and then realize. Start by having a target in mind; know where you are going.
One prize or goal you definitely need to establish for yourself is the prize of an honorable graduation from high school- that you will receive your diploma honestly and with integrity- that you earned it with perfect honesty.
